Typical age for this division is 9 and 10 year olds based on the Little League Softball Age Chart. ONLY advanced top 5% 8 year olds are eligible to play in this division based on assessment scores. Each year varies for the # of players total from Majors to Minors, so it's not an exact science that can carry over year to year in determining if any 8's are eligible aside from scores. 11 year olds that do not assess for Majors may play in this division as well.

Defense:
Pitching distance is 35 feet. Bases are 60 feet. 9 positions are played in field. Little League Pitch Count rules apply. No drop third strike.

Offense:
5 run rule limit per inning, with open innings after the 4th inning. Mercy rules apply. Stealing is allowed. Batting is continuous roster.
